Our tour guide, Mel is very fortunate to have been born, grew up and currently lives and works in one of the most beautiful environments on earth.
First settled in 1652, three hundred and sixty-six years ago, Cape Town offers in addition to its spectacular beauty, a rich and fascinating history, which relates to many foreign nationalities that have made contributions to the growth of this fabulous destination.
It has been one of Mel’s great pleasures to be able to share the beauty and history with others. This, he has been doing for the past 5 years and hopes to continue to do so, for a long time to come.
Mel is qualified and licensed as a Provincial Guide encompassing the whole of the Western Cape, Namaqualand and the Eastern Cape. His tours also include the Cape Metropole, Winelands, Overberg, West Coast and the Breede River Valley.

Walking Tour Of The City
Half day – morning or afternoon
The focus of this tour will be to visit historical buildings, for example, The Castle of Good Hope, The Slave Museum and many other venues of interest, at the same time being informed of the history and other relevant facts pertaining to the sights visited.
Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch, Groot Constania, Waterfront
As the above suggests, we visit Table Mountain, travelling by aerial cable way to the summit of this modern natural wonder of the world, the views from which are breathtaking. From there we move onto the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens which is ranked in the top six gardens of the world. The Kirstenbosch exhibit at the Annual Chelsea Flower Show is a favourite of Queen Elizabeth and is her first port of call when visiting the annual event.
From Kirstenbosch we will move onto the Constantia Valley where we will visit and enjoy a wine tasting at Groot Constantia. This is the oldest wine estate in the world outside of Europe. It's Cape Dutch Manor House, with its beautiful handcrafted furniture is a must to see. (Est. 1659).
West Coast Flower Tour
August/September: Half day (morning or afternoon)
Travelling 80 kms up the West Coast of South Africa, we visit the West Coast National Park, which in the months mentioned above provides visitors with a spectacular display of wild flowers. Another feature of the National Park is the beautiful Langebaan Lagoon and the many hundreds of bird species which inhabit the area.
We will also visit "Eve's Foot" which is a replica of the preserved footprint of a person perhaps 5 foot in height and a modern day shoe size six, who roamed this area more than one hundred thousand years ago.
Visiting the towns of Franschhoek, Paarl and Stellenbosch, we will enjoy the scenic beauty of the area's wine estates surrounded by the majestic Cape Fold Mountains. Four of these Estates will be chosen for wine tasting, the options are extensive.
Cape Peninsula Tour
Travelling via the Atlantic suburbs, Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay, the Riviera of Africa, on our way to Hout Bay, where you will enjoy a 50 minute boat trip to see the thousands of seals on Duiker Island. Thereafter we travel along Chapmans Peak, (one of the most scenic coastal drives in the world) on our way to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope - the most south westerly point of the African Continent. There is always a good chance of seeing game and of course spectacular flower displays.
A visit to the Boulders' Penguin Colony is next after which we have a short walking tour through the historical Simonstown, now home to the South African Navy, but previously the base of the Royal Navy, South Atlantic Fleet. (143 years)

Modern, comfortable and air- conditioned transport is provided.
Tour parties numbering from 1 - 10 passengers as a norm, but arrangements can be made for bigger tour parties as and when required.
The prices when quoted will include all entrance fees and even a fish and chip lunch on the Cape Peninsula tour ie there are no hidden extras. Excluded will be drinks and any other meals that may be consumed.
